Body Weight Exercises, Easy and Effective

Body weight exercises are exercises that use your own body for resistance. They include push-ups , lunges, squats and crunches, just to name a few.

Are they effective? Of course; they're one of the easiest ways to tone and strengthen your body and build muscle without weights.

Whether you're heavily involved in a physical fitness program or you're a newbie, you can always benefit from this kind of training.

What Are the Benefits of This Kind of Training?

You can work the entire body.

Less chance of injury.

Exercises use natural movements.

You can switch from one exercise to another without wasting time - all you have to do is reposition your body.

The exercises can be done in just about any environment.

I'm not saying that they're better than, or meant to take the place of, other kinds of training, it's simply another way to train your body. When it comes to physical fitness it's always best to keep an open mind and try different things. Sometimes you need more than a hammer in your tool box.

These exercises can compliment other training regiments or be used effectively on their own.

They are also a fantastic resource for when you can't make it to the gym, when you're traveling, when you only have 20 minutes before leaving the house--they can even be done while the baby is sleeping in the other room.

Try putting together a circuit it`s a great way to maximize your time and space.

Now, if your looking to resemble the Incredible Hulk, you're going to need a different regiment.

On the other hand, if your goal is not to bulk up but to achieve muscular strength, muscular endurance, a toned, fit looking body and a better cardiovascular fitness level, a good body weight exercise program can do the job.
