Home Circuit Training. P90x vs Insanity

At home circuit training can be done by just about anyone. There are many different kinds of home fitness routines , including weight training, pilates, and yoga. There's also some great DVD packages like P90x or the Insanity workouts. There are even personal trainers that will make house calls.

These are all great options. Whatever helps to increase your physical fitness and raise your awareness about how important it is to your well being-and providing it's safe, enjoyable and effective-then you've made a good choice.

We're going to take a look at p90X and the Insanity workouts from Beachbody . These are probably my favourites, more so the Insanity workout because of the intensity. There are some in the industry that believe these are just another in the long list of , physical fitness trends I however, disagree.

Hula-hoop training is a trend, whereas these two packages are based on proven and time tested methods of exercising. They're not reinventing the wheel, but they are re-packaging it.

Both of these workouts are pretty similar in approach; they both take up very little space and both are very effective for burning fat and building muscle.

Even though these programs use the same method, which is circuit training and interval training , the P90x is better suited to someone who isn't or hasn't been very active in a while, whereas the Insanity package is really not for someone who's totally out of shape. If you don't take this warning make sure you have a bucket close by 'cause you'll be using it.

Both workouts address the 5 components of physical fitness, , both take the time to cool you down afterward and they also both have dietary advice included and charts to track you progress.

Regarding the p90x-they do use some free weights and bands so you will need some equipment. For The Insanity workout no equipment is needed.

So if your looking for home circuit training you really can't go wrong with either one of these, just remember Insanity is a bit more intense.

Happy training.
