Looking For a Personal Trainer in Montreal?
My name is Kenny and I'm a certified personal trainer in downtown Montreal, Canada. I own my own training center
Leriken Functional Fitness
and along with group classes we also offer private and semi-private classes. I've been involved in fitness in one way or another for over 15 years and with sports for twice as long; the fitness lifestyle is something that I embrace and live daily. When I'm with my clients, whether it be group classes or privates, a major part of my responsibility (every personal trainers responsibility for that matter), is to make
physical fitness
fun and to make my clients want to train and live a healthy lifestyle.
Our fitness center is different from the regular run-of-the-mill gym where it's your responsibility to train yourself and figure out what all the machines are for. I always wanted to create an environment that encourages people to train and not feel uncomfortable or self-conscious. Our clients can do most of our training regiments at home if they happen to miss a day of training. We don't use any weights in our group classes but we do use equipment like bands, medicine balls, and swiss balls to name a few. Weight lifting is a valid part of any complete training program, especially as you get older, so this is an option we offer to our private clients. Private Classes, What to ExpectWell the first thing you can expect is to sweat those extra pounds away and have fun doing it. In my private and semi-private classes (2-6 people) I'll mix in boxing and kickboxing drills, moderate to high intensity interval and circuit training, and conventional--and some not so conventional--exercises to make sure that all of the
5 components of physical fitness
get worked on. There are many reasons why people stop exercising
why people stop exercising
so my job is to keep your body guessing and to keep your training fun, all in a clean and friendly environment.
Several years ago I began training in personal protection and became a certified self defense instructor as well, so if clients want we can add self defense training to a customized program alongside the physical fitness training. As a matter of fact, I have some clients that only do self defense while others prefer to do only fitness: the choice is always up to you. Meet and Greet, It's On MeBefore our first training session together we'll have a 30 minute meet and greet, no charge of course, where we can discuss your goals and and how to achieve them. This first meeting is where you decide whether or not my kind of training is something that you could see yourself doing for a while, because the last thing we want to do is to waste each others time. We can build our first training session together and you can run through it to try it out--again, the first session is always free. Tell a FriendAll clients can benefit from my referral program. If someone that you refer signs up for 6 privates you get 1 private free of charge. If they sign up for 10 privates you get 2 privates free; you get the picture. When you need a personal trainer with a different approach to fitness come visit us at our downtown Montreal location, 680 St.Catherine Street West, 1st floor. Tel 514 879 5621. You can also send me an e-mail at ken@leriken.com
